~Beyond Arcadia~

A successful victory for Cirque D'Ciel the 9th; the Armamentalist warrior of the Fource, but it doesn't necessarily mean that his fight wasn't over. He still has to defeat his next opponent during the semi finals in order to make it to the last match of the Deus Ex Machina Tourney, and the opponent he was going to face up against was... Xodous. What a surprise that the judges would place him against a 'god of all gods' as if they knew that the boy deserves a stronger challenge than that. Honestly, having a stronger challenge isn't really the case when all that the male was looking for is to see how clever his enemy is in order to overwhelm him. Revolento was reading some information that answers what his opponent actually was while currently residing at a nearby cafe that is several miles from where the tournament is taking place, and to his surprise... he somewhat have a similar battle style to someone else who he crossed, but didn't fight against before. "God of all gods? Who would go and name themselves over a silly title, it makes me disappointed that some god would go that far to self-proclaim himself on the hieratic scale." Said the boy, taking small sips of his tea that was mixed with a small droplets of milk. Cirque didn't have anything against gods, nor does he question their enlightenment in some complicated cases that he wish to know about. However; if he notice a god that uses his powers to harm the lives of the innocent, there was no possible chance that this Xenithilon will ever give any remorse. Forcefully slamming his tea cup on the table--slightly making a bit of a mess--Cirque placed a tab on the table and said-- "Let's see if this accursed god will actually put up a fight if he claims to be high and mighty." With that said, he slowly arise from his table and made his way to his current home for the time being.

Several minutes later, the male walks into a forest clearing as he whistles for his mare to come around. After his calling, the sounds of the grounds being beaten started to become louder and louder until his trusty steed Elizabeth gallops into the clearing. She was overjoyed that her tamer has come back after the first match. Patting the mare on the muzzle, he said-- "Elizabeth, the first match was a complete success; but the battle isn't really over yet. Though, I already know that you understand that theory. Haha.~" Even though Cirque was a bit happy, he started to frown a bit as he continued-- "They said that the winner gets a wish from the gods. I thought it was too good to be true, but it's actually up for grabs. Normally, I could wish that this curse that made this gauntlet bound to my soul to be broken. However... I was thinking of making a different wish other than that..." Walking away from his steed, he reaches the destination that he was planning to stop at to begin with: It was his house. The horse would obviously follow him, concerned of his thoughts about this tournament. The male changed into a much more lighter attire, but only to keep his magic enhanced Orichalcum chest plate, under armor, and leggings. With most of his attire, he would go back and wear his casual Musketeer outfit along with the same hooded cloak which secretly has his hidden enchanted shield that will be probably used later on. There was a specific place and reason why the boy was trying to go lighter than normal.

"I'm leaving now, Elizabeth; stay safe!" He shouted to his animal friend, walking back to the tournament's location. He didn't feel like rushing to there, since his choice of terrain to fight in wasn't going to be ground related what so ever. He wanted to try something a whole lot different other than battling on foot every single day. He now stands at the main entrance of the tournament itself, glancing upward to the cloudy skies that covered the blue horizon. Suddenly, celestial wings magically manifested out of the male's trapezius muscles. "Time to take to the skies." He said, flapping his wings hard enough for him to rise from the ground. It wasn't common for the boy to actually sprout wings and fly with them when he normally uses his Gale Fource to make him migrate through the skies itself. Maybe he's saving that Fource other than wasting it throughout this entire match.

As he ascended beyond the heavens, Revolento perched himself on the nearest fluff of clouds that was around his being. While he was on there, the male slowly draws out his weapon that had a magical essence flowing through the blade's sharp edge. With it, he started to pray while chanting the Armamentalist code-- "We are the warriors of nature, who became one with the Fource. We use our powers for justice other than evil; may our abilities see to that of a hero. Warriors of the good, we may be. As for the Armamentalist, we are free." After that is done, he could feel a paranormal presence that covered most of his body with a cool and comfortable essence. Revolento can feel that his mentor was actually monitoring him after this. The sun slowly descends to the mountains that is far from the the battle arena's location, it marked a point where the battle is starting to begin. Now he must await for his opponent to come around since he's known to be 'fashionably late'. Once he does, this Armamentalist needs to rely on all of his techniques and abilities in order to defeat this opponent. The wheel of fate will soon decide on who will leave this battle alive; the unfortunate one will have to be laid waste anyways.

The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous   The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous I_icon_minitimeTue Nov 20, 2012 6:58 pm

Xodous didn't stray far from the battle arena as he only wanted to start fighting. He thought it was cheap and a waste of time that he had even signed up for this match. His first match was won only because his opponent was a big old fat bitch and had to quit. So worthless, that first win made him start to think about why he had even joined this thing. He could have cared less about the wish at the end, that wasn't even the prize he wanted anyways. No he was more interested in killing that abomination who was created to destroy Xodous. Then their was that filthy Viking hoe who was always trying to rape the god and take his sparkles. His mind filling with all these different things as he waited for the next match to start. Not even sure if he wanted to finish but then again that stupid elf hoe might throw a tissy fit is she doesn't get to die at the hands of this god. He would have found out when matches had been decided, matches he didn't bother to even watch and found out who his next opponent would be

He left only to the bathroom to make sure he released all his fluids before this fight as he expected a fight this time around. He came back to the front desk of the arena area to know where he would be fighting. To his surprise it would be a very different kind of fighting area then he expected. Though with his power to manipulate the air around him it would be less amusing for him at the same time as it being exciting. He would step into the air as he pulled the necklace from off his neck. It would hold a solid gold tone to it. It would curl itself as it looked like a liquid not sure what form to take. As Xodous stepped into the sky it was like he would use stairs but after a few steps he stopped as he didn't want to use up his energy walking. He had entered the fighting area when his feet started to climb the sky. But after taking the few steps and stopped he would start to just have the winds blow under him and push his weight up.

After a moment the gold toned liquid that was a necklace around the gods neck would take the look of a long six foot spear. It looked solid, the metal or material for his weapon obviously wasn't gold, despite how it bent. It was a magical weapon that could take the form of nearly any weapon including shields as even a shield can be an effective weapon. He would bring himself high enough up into the air that his opponent could be seen. The gods body would sparkle with a rainbow of different colors from the suns rays. With his other hand he grabbed at the air itself and looked like he grabbed onto it. Then pulled it over himself, his opponent may think he was just doing something random but what Xodous was really doing was pulling a cloak of air over his body. Air started to flow around his body more swiftly as after a short amount of time it would be like his sparkles would be disappearing as the cycle of the wind would be cloaking his body. Even being so high in the sky their would be no shadow under Xodous's body what so ever.

"If you die quickly I will never forgive you for wasting my time." The god said as it wasn't a warning but it was a promise. This male had been around long enough to know when someone dies they don't usually stay dead. They have means of coming back to life. This kind of annoying as it would be harder to kill people more permanently but no one seemed a big enough threat to do that, well other then that abomination waiting for him in the last match. He would now look like he waited as feet bare, chest bare, hair tied back and emerald green hues staring only at the other's body. Not bothering to make eye contact at all.

It seems that waiting is going to be a virtue since it wasn't for long until his opponent ascended to the heavens above... on foot. He shouldn't question about how he did, his only concern is that Xodous actually showed up as scheduled. From first glance he can understand that his appearance was 'shiny' as mentioned from those who seen him before. But regardless on how bright he shines; it's not even close to completely blind the male. His eyes had this sort of abnormal abilities that cancels out any magical alignment that either blind or catch the male in a visual illusion, the only chances of literally taking out this male's eyes if he was struck by any physical object that'll probably hinder his vision drastically. Since Xodous doesn't contain anything that would so such a thing; Cirque wouldn't have to worry about fighting while trying to protect his eyes. Unlike that strange humanoid being by the name of Imorii, his eyes were presumably much more of a threat than hers. He just hopes that this god will eventually find out about his interesting feature. He can obviously tell that he was manipulating the air itself to form up some sort of substance that somewhat shields his material crusted body from the solar rays and covers his entire body in a gust of wind. "Hmm, this person seems to have a diamond substance that makes up for his organic body. Seems easy to penetrate due to my natural strength and the rare mineral that is crafted to make my weapon. I just wonder if my gauntlet's claws will get through...?" He thought to himself, standing upright as his entire body directly faces his opponent.

As the god spoke from his diamond-crusted lips by saying-- "If you die quickly I will never forgive you for wasting my time.", Cirque's slightly made a smug grim from being amused of his arrogance. Of course, he wouldn't reply back since this wasn't a time to introduce himself. Instead he decided to start this match up by raising up his gauntlet towards him. In certain cases like this one, most people would usually shoot out some destructive ray of unimaginable energy that make it look like it was actually ripped off from some animated television show; however, this wasn't the case at all. First things first, he quickly spoke some words as a two golden rings quickly revolve around his position while saying-- "Sucre en Poudre..~" This technique wasn't an attack whatsoever. This technique only raised up his magical mending and might so he could cast spells stronger than before; no matter if it's attacking spells that is put under the category as magical might or defensive and status healing spells that are put under the category as magical mending. While having this sort of spell down, he was keeping an eye on his opponent in the process. No need to leave himself unguarded to let someone like him get the first attack on him. No matter how desperate he is to win this match, Cirque will get this wish in order to achieve something that is more valuable than gold, love, or fame combined.

Will Xodous decides to take off towards him or try to use an attacking spell of any sort; the boy would quickly whisper some words out of his breath while speaking in a native tongue that happens to be French, he said-- "Vent Faucille." regardless if he moved or not. With those words spoken an unknown force of unimaginable power fills the air around Cirque's position with a loud thumping sound. If the god continued to stand there as if he only did that just to intimidate him, he would notice that the rushing winds that shielded his body vanish away from him. Not only that, but the attack would only do little to no damage. Cirque wasn't planning on hurting the god at first anyways. That could only mean that technique was an element disabling ability that was required for all Fource users to learn in case of any Armamentalist who tries to combined more than one Fource that'll probably cause a corruption in nature. If Xodous somewhat acknowledge the technique and try to move out of the way, then the Armamentalist will keep his sights on him while releasing more of his element disabling attack until his opponent closes in on him, try to retaliate with an attack of his own, or moves out of sight. If any of those predictions happen, then Revolento will move out of the way while thinking of a different tactic to use on him. The male only wanted to knock down his elemental defenses just so that he can progress on taking down his natural body defenses, which was the diamond skin that was organically crafted on his body when he was born. Once those two alignments were out of his way, then Revolento will begin to take this battle to the next level and overwhelm him with most of his magic as possible.

The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous   The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous I_icon_minitimeWed Nov 21, 2012 10:44 pm

The arena was strangely empty for this fight, because the battle was taking place in the sky. It wasn't like the seats had rocket boosters, so floating cameras were sent to the field to watch every move and relay it to a large monitor in the center of the arena.

Standing alone behind the top row of seats was a girl. A girl decked in steel. She watched the fight with piercing sapphire eyes and crossed arms. Anyone who looked at her would say she looked familiar, but with her outfit and peculiar armor, it would be dismissed. This female paid special attention to the one called Cirque. She had seen him fly into the air and was impressed by the abilities she's witnessed.

"So he can grow wings? Just how many more magic tricks do you have, old buddy?" She said quietly, giving a smirk.

The girl was showing such a sense of familiarity with the boy because she had met him before. In that same tournament. She was Black Rock Shooter, Cirque's first opponent. But how was she standing here? Didn't she lose her fight with the Armamentalist and was cut to pieces? Yes, but as she had explained, Other Selves can die, but as long as their human halves keep living, they are revived. But in this case, Black Rock Shooter was reborn into a new form. Her black twintails were shorter and spikier, but the right was still shorter than the left. She wore a black tank top with a zipper on the front and a row of white stars at the neck. She also wore a black miniskirt with a white belt, black detached sleeves over black claw like gauntlets, and thigh high metal greaves with blue buzzsaws on the backs and at the base. Like before, a blue flame shot from her left eye, but it also seemed to form a crown that went around her head. With this new form came a new name. Black Rock Shooter Beast.

Black Rock Shooter Beast had reawakened in the same cave in which she had fought and died as Black Rock Shooter. She had returned to the tournament to find that the one who had defeated her was to face Xodous, one called a God. She had never fought him in her previous life, but he notably gave her the nickname "Blacky".

"Huh, I wonder how this will turn out. Can Cirque hold his own against a god?" Black Rock Shooter Beast asked, surprisingly using her mouth to speak instead of her mind.

No attacks had been made, but the reborn Other Self knew it was only a matter of time before the action really started.

More than any other match this had been the one the little elf wanted to spectate, beforehand cheerful thoughts of getting to watch a sky battle danced in her head. To her it seemed obvious the god would call upon his Valkyries in such a fight as in no other case could the magnificent display of the winged beasts be brought to their full potential. If she was lucky perhaps she would be given one as a prize in the arrogant God's apathy. As he often did not like utilize his full potential and might enjoy showing some disrespect to his opponent by clearly holding back in front of his face.

Even so the newcomer was no joke. Initially Shale had underestimated the man as would any barbarian who saw someone dressed in such elegance. To Shale's human side of the family, such riches and mannerisms marked a clear sign of spoiled comforts and weakness. However the wizard or whatever he was from the little Shale had gathered had displayed a clear sudden act of ruthless potential. Some strange move that seemed impossible to block by conventional means.

Shale's dad was watching this match, it brought him back to his days, he was busy with the war though and this was merely a good checkpoint to keep his eyes open. As long as no greater plots overlooked the tournament then he would keep his humble identity a mystery. There was no one here to recognize the family anyways. Up would fly the two competitors. Zathire sat next to his brother in law Hayabusa. "Are you kidding me after all the trouble I went through slaughtering these damn birds and one of the challengers has wings?"

Obviously the angry ninja would say nothing.

Still Zathire talked. "And the other one sparkles? How gay is that?" The elf beside him would gaze with her narrow eyes taking in a pervasive amount of detail to each inch of the wizard-like man. No shred of clothes smaller than an ant would go unseen. After gathering all the information she desired she made the decision within her head who would win and returned her ears to scanning for a distinguished professional cadence of footsteps that marked the target they meant to assassinate in this tournament.

Beside the blond tall elf was a second female elf, this one with white hair, the one that had tamed the ninja. She sent her eyes to one of the vendors tipping a hat and in a hushed elven whisper brought a message to her sister. Even from across the half a mile stretch of stadium Mellen would not make immediate eye contact but scan with the periphery of her vision, for if the target was who she thought then such an action would bring the attention of the perceptive individual. Still the masses were as countless as drops of water in the sea and finding one person in the thousands was not likely going to happen quickly. So they sent their eyes back to the sky, perhaps the show would offer distracting moments in which they could coordinate their moves and take out their target with as little publicity as possible.

Elsewhere Shale lay in the prison cell, choosing the calm quite stone roof and floor as a place to relax and take a journey through her mind. There was a crack on the ceiling in which water was leaking through. Shale waited there, letting the drops splash against her face. Perhaps it would rain she hoped smelling the damp cement and making a wish that the soothing cold of the rain could be felt upon the burned scars on her face.

The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous   The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous I_icon_minitimeTue Nov 27, 2012 5:11 pm

The God known as Xodous would feel and see what the strange man with wings had done. A small laugh could be heard coming from parted lips. The spear in his right hand would spin around as he laughed. His hand stayed in its solid position but the finger's made it spin and within moments it was like a solid circle. He just stood in his spot and stared at his opponent as he did this. "So your a magic type of person. Maybe you'll be as entertaining as the Viking hoe in the next match I fight with that abomination." He said as he didn't think he was going to lose and he would let it be known what he thought. "But magic alone will not help you win this battle." He said allowed that this would become a battle and not just a fight. It wasn't every day that someone held the abilities to just make his defense of oxygen, air leave from around him. Rarely did he fight a person who could do such things.

The spin had obviously picked up speed in the short amount of time and then it stopped with a firm grip as the tip of the spear would fling off towards his opponent traveling at a small fifteen m.p.h. At the end of the tip and the start of the length of the spear would be a chain. A magic circle that is not of elemental in nature would be helping create the chain. The circle was mostly their to make sure that it would be able to stretch to where the male was at. His free hand though while he was doing this would reach into his mouth. Xodous's emerald green eyes just watching his opponent. His nails would pierce into his tongue though and a black liquid mixed in with his blood would start to come out. He took only the black liquid as it was almost like a burning tar substance. It spewed fast and coated the hand quickly as he held his tongue in a position to make it do this before it healed. This liquid always seen in real battles that the god would do. This is how one would know he was taking a fight serious.

He took the liquid now and brought his hand from his mouth as he would move over the area on the back of his neck in a solid line. This liquid chaotic in nature and very unstable, this tied into a combo affect he used with most of his weapons or magic he used. No land though in this fight, not till one of them went crashing down into the ground. Xodous had already though of cutting off the other males wings for taking away his defense. Well one of them at the least, Xodous in turn did nothing to stop it though. He didn't want to turn to the tactic that he just used, he hoped he wouldn't have to actually unleash it. He wanted to save it for the abomination and the Viking hoe known as Shale the retarded and ugly, no fugly Elf. He had no feeling or thought on her last fight though as it was to no bother or concern of his. "Play time never came...Being serious is not fun..But I will not let this kid stand in my way." He spoke to himself this time as he didn't think he spoke loud enough for the opponent to hear him. Xodous's feet shifted encase he needed to jump out of the way of an incoming attack or if he needed to shut down his power for a moment to surprise the other.

The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous   The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous I_icon_minitimeTue Nov 27, 2012 7:01 pm

It seems that his elemental destruction spell worked as a charm, it was good to see a part of his defense was gone. However; that doesn't mean that this male was completely defenseless due to his material-like body which will be quite difficult to slice through easily. He's a magic type of person, alright; but there are times when magic isn't the only option when dealing with opponents who can overcome it. Strategy was a very important part of fighting, using brute force while swinging wildly will only make it difficult for the one who thinks strength or magic alone will help them. That's what his mentor taught this Elite Armamentalist; it was about time to bring his natural abilities to the test. He didn't reply back to the god, since it wasn't the time to chit-chat at all--when it comes to battles like this one, he has to keep his conversations with his opponent to a minimum unless it was necessary. The last words that the god said was quite strong as he foresighted his victory at the beginning of the match. Xodous got some strong moxie, Revolento will give him that; but overconfidence will only lead to not taking this battle seriously. That'll only mean Cirque could have a change to take this battle if he uses his intelligence properly. This is probably his first time going up against a god, since he only took down one celestial being who transformed into a monstrous individual. Today was the day where the male was going to take on this dimension's god. The question is: will he overcome his opponent?

With Revolento successfully casting both those moves, the boy was ready to easily focus on Xodous' attack pattern. From what he learned so far is that the god's golden weapon can change into anything that Xodous can put his mind to. That's quite a tactical weapon if Cirque does say so himself, but the way it changes and how fast it was going didn't really mean much to him at all. If Xodous is going to carry such a peculiar weapon like that, he better make it to the point where he could block or counter at the last minute. If he doesn't, then the boy will highly take that ability to his advantage and execute whatever trick he has for that. The god's weapon that was currently in a form of a spear started to swing with tremendous speed that almost look like he was getting ready to attack. Revolento was right, Xodous was attacking and his choice of an attack strategy was chucking his spear towards him. The only thing that the male find quite strange was is the speed that it was going, it moved at a velocity that is commonly seen when people are jogging. Not only that his methood was strange, but he also noticed that the spear had a magic chain that was bound to the golden weapon. If this was some odd way of attacking, then Cirque will acknowledge it. Not just because of how easy it was to dodge it, but from what the god was planning.

At the last minute, the boy lunged his body to a much more comfortable direction to the right and took flight, avoiding the other male's ranged attack in the process. Watching his opponent from afar, he noticed that the god... pierced his tongue? What in the world?! It's bad enough that he had to watch his first move, now he's planning to draw some blood on himself? Wait, that isn't blood; this liquid had something within his blood, it seems out of place to even have such a thing. Do all gods have this kind of blood in their systems, or was Xodous naturally born with it? Whatever it was, the boy wasn't going to like the results of it. That's why he have his Fources on standby until it was the right time to use it. As of now; He was just going to rely on stalling for a bit and take out more of his defenses. While his opponent was somewhat talking to himself, Cirque took the opprotunity to manifest a small ball of energy from out of his free hand, the male sent the said ball flying towards his opponent at high speed. If the small ball manage to come within close range, the ball will quickly expand triggering large explosion that expands up to approximately 12 feet within Xodous' position. If the ball manage to explode successfully, then the god's will obtain some slight damage depending on how deep he was in the large blast radius. The more Xodous was in the said radius, the higher the damage he'll receive. With that executed, the boy curved up a small smile once again when words finally escaped from Revolento's mouth as he whispered-- "... Kaboom.~"

If his opponent anticipated the boy's attack and move out of the way, then he'll decide to soar up to a much more higher altitude to easily keep his eye on his opponent without having to worry about no flanking attack that he probably was planning during that time. While that was happening, the Armamentalist gripped his fist as an invisible purple shroud of energy faintly flowed within and out of his body, only to vanish in the process. Was it one of the male's Fource? Nay; it wasn't a Fource at all, nor was it an defensive spell at all... It was one of the technique that was taught by a Gladiator ally of his--who is currently killed in action a long time ago. With this enhancement within him, the male's muscles gradually become much more tighter and stronger than before. The only thing about it is, Cirque can only limit himself from using this ability 3 or 2 times. His goal wasn't to reach to his fourth and final one right now, because his 3rd to the last one will take a lot of focus to obtain. Not only that, but Cirque isn't going to connect his successful or unsuccessful attack by any means necessary. After that ability was done, the air around Cirque's body started to become dense to the point where his airspace was surrounded by some intense wave motions that looks like it was alternating the oxygen around him. It wasn't visible, but for those who look closer enough can see it. 'Okay, Xodous; let's see what else you're going to do next.' He said within his thoughts, maintaining himself into a defensive position while awaiting for the god to counteract.

[Only admins are allowed to see this image]
A tall woman dressed in black, with dark faded purple hair and lifeless pale skin saw 'truth' in a mirror she held. Every so often she would pretend to be applying make up as she scanned the crowd behind her until she at last found the one with the purple glow. "Target acquired," she whispered so quietly she wasn't sure she had actually made an audible sound. However the sister elves seemed to bounce their ears up in unison.

Putting the mirror down the target seemed to be a man in a top hat. However the briefcase he unwittingly carried was the reason that his life would have to be forfeit. Eon, the Black Witch, as she had once been known, placed her velvet blue glove upon the man's shoulder. Immediately she she began in the form of black smoke drawing the life-force out of the man and into her hand. Luckily due to the fact that she was touching him this transaction would not be seen. "Are you okay?" she asked with a concerned look as the man gasped his dying breath and fell to the ground. "You don't look so good." She knelt down and put a hand to the dead man's forehead, feigning that she was merely a concerned by passer that had noticed something wrong before the others who were now gasping.

It was funny how easy it was to convince people that the hand she placed there was a reaction to his sudden illness rather than the cause. Human psychology tends to always favor what seems logical over what is actually viewed and so to the few observers, it would seem logical that this woman came to notice signs before they had.

All was going according to plan, and the 'random stranger', Zathire was 'passing by' 'unexpectedly' when Eon, gave a concerned shout out. "This man is fainted; Can anyone help me move this man?"

Clearly given his size the others that might have stepped in to help stepped back realizing the ease in which the large individual before them could move the 'fainted' individual. In moments he was there to collect the target. "Oh sure I'll help you ma'am." He put the man's arm over his shoulder and hefted him up as if he was still a living being. "Come on let's get you out of here and get some help."

Of course there was always the possibility this was a double set up, and as such the two elves spread out taking side positions making sure to stay within range without giving away the fact they were guarding this situation. The reasons for this man's assassination and why it had taken place would remain as something unknown to both the fighters and surrounding spectators. As the team stepped out to conduct experiments from the safety of prying eyes, Shale stepped in.

She said nothing as it was customary to keep these events confidential, and although she herself was not in on the event at hand she knew well enough from experience what was really going on. So she didn't even make eye contact and pretended like nothing had happened, instead, she turned her head to the sky. Until she was in league with them she needed to practice, her next match wasn't going to be practice though, by all intention it would be a slaughter. She was in the mood to finish her last fight. Her arrival had been just in time to see the first exchange of blows take place. She had already forged a weapon geared to defeat Xodous and an armor to resist a few select types of magic, in case her opponent were Cirque.

Shale had just heard before she entered the stadium the words referring to her specifically: mentioning her as an abomination. She'd look up with silent hateful eyes upon the god. She was ready to end his miserable existence once and for all if the wizard didn't finish him here and now. Until then, she would bide her time and stare making eye contact that would likely not be noticed from such a distance, but if it were and could be read: the cold and quite expression of: I will kill you would be written across her face.

The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous   The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous I_icon_minitimeWed Nov 28, 2012 5:10 pm

It seemed like the boy before him would have easily dodged the slow moving spear head. Though he felt like he only had to use his regular speed to dodge it. Maybe he should have sent it flying at a much higher speed. Maybe like the boy did with his small little ball. Xodous was already ready to dodge an attack, his arm whipped off to the right and then left as the chain would make a wave out wards and then come in again and with a hard pull backwards and jumping out the to left he would dodge the ball that came towards him. Though the china looked like it would end up touching the ball he threw or shot out towards Xodous. If it did which it looked like it would it would explode and the chain would break. Maybe this way Xodous would be able to see if the small ball had any hidden modification to it to make the explosion that he expected to come from it larger. He was used to seeing magic type user's using such things. If the chain did indeed break on impact from the expected explosion then the butt end of the spear would have a magic circle appear as it would take in the chain that had fallen, the excess chain that would be coming back towards him that would be away from the explosion as he didn't want to take any of the explosion with him by doing this.

The substance that was black that he put on the back of his neck area would have started to look like ink, it spread over the area like cancer. Just the feeling made the God grip his spear more tightly as it gave him a slight pain. He didn't have much going through his mind, just how to use his techniques effectively. He knew though he would have to start beefing his tactics up if he wanted to finish this. His mind wanted him to finish slow and take his time but it seemed the one's watching the match would prefer for them to settle things quickly even though they had their time to fight. Maybe the last match would be able to be taken more slowly. " Innsiden vokse myk som outsides vokse intense." Xodous now spoke in an old Norse tongue but it would translate now to Norwegian. This was to make his defenses stronger now as it wouldn't be able to be countered as it did not take an element to do this but his body itself. The black liquid came up through his blood and pin pointed holes through the inside of flesh as the diamond skin on the outside had black spots on it. So it looked like he was growing, slowly growing to be a black color. Right now it was dots, then would come the blotches and finally the full take over.

This was a technique Xodous did not use often either but he chose not to use it because he liked to take his time in battle. Unlike the pain to the back of his neck their would be no pain spread from this technique. Knee's bent after a moment as he would jump straight up into the air but only got up five feet before he stopped. "No ground here..Guess I'll have to make some." He said boldly as he meant what he had said. He would create a body structure that would act like a solid ground source in the heavens. Though did he want to make it out of the highly explosive chaotic liquid he used or did he want to make it of air? The idea bounced back and forth a few times before he moved his free hand out to make a flat air platform. This would extend ten feet around him in each direction. This took maybe 2% of his current amount of energy. Only taking that much energy though as the platform would start to grow larger with every step Xodous took on the platform. The platform would be five inches thick and from the way one looked at it it would be visible. He stood still and now waited as his hand would be palm open. Sparks spat from his palm every now and again as he would have a counter set up if another attack came flying his way.

Of course; the god would move out of the way from the explosion's range, but seeing how the ball ignited at his previous position almost tried to take out the chain that was in it's direction. Cirque expected much from him; besides, who in the right mind would stand within an explosion? Not this kid, obviously. Heading back to the battle at hand, the Armamentalist continues to take note of what went down so far while enhancing his physical abilities. The thing that was slightly bothering him was the fact that Xodous has yet to even remotely attack him yet, it was like he was being cautious of avoid him directly. Which is a reckless thing to do, mind you. It was a good thing that Xodous happens to be a smart god, or this battle would have been an easy match for the male. Visualizing the other male's actions, he noticed that the strange liquid from before started spread over his neck... Not only that, but it looks like that god was in pain as well. This was his chance to attack while he's unguarded. Magically forming a large chunk of slightly purple ice that was formed into a large stalagcite above him, he yell out the words-- "Kacrack!" and sends it straight towards him with a shroud of mist that's seems as if it was covered in liquid nitrogen. The male secretly did something else just after the ice was sent out, making sure that this tactic will work while Xodous was still... doing whatever he was trying to do.

If the ice successfully hits him while the liquid was spreading through his body, then the sharpness of the stalagcite will possibly impale him. That's not all, but the same ball as before will reach over to his position and ignite itself to cause a large explosion with a much more stronger blast radius: 20 feet in length, 15 feet in width. However; if the stalagcite somewhat missed, then the small ball will trace to where the god's newest position is located and detonate to where he is. The chances of missing is quite high depending how fast Xodous will move while his body was currently in pain, but it didn't matter if he runs or not at the moment. If he didn't get hit or not, the tension that he enhanced his body with slowly starts to vanish; changing him back to normal. The downside of his tension was only for attack purposes only; Once used, It'll not come back until Revolento decides to use it once more. Strangely enough, the tension doesn't give power to mending spells or techniques at all since it works differently that way. "... Well, that little experience was pretty short lived. It's a shame that I can only hold this until I unleash attacks such as that. It's surprising that I manage to use two in one go." He said to himself, awaiting if the god manage to survive he attack or not.

If he did survive, it will be unnecessary for the boy to keep his guard down, even if he was hit. The only thing that was concerning him was the black liquid to where the other male is covering himself in, does it contain a source of power unlike any other? This technique doesn't seem like it was magic based at all, which was strange to see that the liquid was able to merge on the surface of his body by itself. By the looks of it now; it seems that his body structure somehow got much more durable than it was before. So naturally attacking with his sword and magically abilities will be more of a challenge for him now. However; knowing that both his diamond-like structure and his liquid both contain a material like substance could only mean that he's vulnerable by one attack. The disappointing thing about it is that the said attack Cirque had in store will require his sword and getting a close distance to Xodous while he's defenseless. Seeing him jump up into the sky put him on guard. But the god wasn't going to attack, instead he was... trying to make a ground structure? Wait, why is he making a floating structure? If he's supposed to be a god, then he should fight in all terrains. Either that or maybe the god was growing tired of fighting in the air. Whichever the case may be, Cirque will probably understand. Though, that won't mean he'll just willingly drop to Xodous' freshly made field. So, the boy will stay in the air. As for attacking, he won't be doing that right now since he can already tell that the god is awaiting for him to strike right now. It was best to wait for now other than jumping the gun too soon.

The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous   The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous I_icon_minitimeThu Nov 29, 2012 3:34 pm

The gods eyes never really left the boy's position as he always made sure to watch him. This was a battle and he couldn't afford to make a mistake. the lightly misted projectile would be a pretty good idea to use up here in the clouds. With all the air and clouds around it would be hard for untrained eyes to spot its light form coming at them. The God liked the idea of using something like this, he may have to take this idea later in the fight. But it seems the boy hadn't noticed the sparks spitting form his hand which would have made this next attack worth it. The sparks spit from his hand again before silver lightning erupted from his hand. It would come through a small hole in his hand, in his palm. A pin point hole but when the lightning erupted out it would grow larger in size. This lightning would be aimed for the projectile that came towards him. But if this did not take it down then Xodous of course would take more steps to the side as he made the platform grow larger under him now from the steps he would take. Xodous didn't want a terrain change, he just wanted a solid area where he could unleash a spell that required it. So far it didn't look like the boy had figured it out, which would be in Xodous's favor. It seemed the boy knew that a God's power would be great but even gods had property boundaries. That and Xodous had to nerf most his abilities for this tournament.

The spear in his hand would start to change form once more as it part of t wrapped around his arm. It then spread over his arm like an armor but his hand should have been the main focus as the golden color would start to form a sword in hand. A gold sleeve on his arm with sword in hand. Four foot five inch spear with a surface width of eight inches. This being one of his favorites to use. This would also show that he would be getting ready for close combat. He wanted to go through each step of his technique though slowly. Though having no time to be slow he would create more platform spots by moving more to the left. With each one step three platforms would be created. This of course took his energy slowly. His eyes though would never leave the boy even as he moved. This could limit his reactions. or even possible get him hurt but nothing would be too much for this god to handle. He thought he showed enough of his technique now for the plat form as he would bite into his tongue to make it bleed as he spat his blood out onto the plat forms. Usually he would have used magic on soil to make it so his pillar's could erupt from the ground. But in the air he would need the platform that could hold such structures up. He also needed it so he wouldn't drain himself of power too quickly. It would take at least another post from the opponent before he would activate this technique though.

So once more he would wait and water, spitting more of his blood out onto the plat forms to let it kinda get the feel of the structure. The black stuff and his blood working together now. His palm open again with sparks spitting out and the sword in his hand firmly gripped.

Black Rock Shooter Beast was intrigued by the wide variety of powers being used in this fight. She had wanted to get a closer look, so she went down the stadium stairs heading to the bottom row. On the way, she glanced over to the woman in black and saw the man in the top hat fall. It looked like an accident, the the reborn Other Self knew the truth. She had killed him by stealing every bit of his life energy. Beast had seen it through her flaming left eye.

"Huh. What's the deal with that?" She thought.

Once she got to the front row, Black Rock Shooter Beast leaned on the railing and looked at the action on the screen.

"So that God guy is covering himself in some black armor? As if being made of diamond wasn't enough..." She observed.

Seeing the techniques used by both combatants, huge energy balls, stalagmites (Which she was quite familiar with) and even raising ground out of thin air? This was turning into quite the match.

"Huh, looks like God guy's getting ready to do something. Cirque is sure going to have his hands full with him." She said, watching intently for what would come next. She focused her sight on Cirque for a few moments.

"You're going to honor my last words, right Old Buddy? 'You'd better not die....'" She added, mirroring the last phrase she spoke before losing her previous life to the Armamentalist.

The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous   The Deus Ex Machina Tournament - Round 2: Revolento vs. Xodous I_icon_minitimeTue Dec 04, 2012 1:05 am

Since the ice was undergoing an enhancement of the tension to what Cirque possessed before; the only chances of Xodous' spark to collide with the ice will greatly damaging the ice itself and slowing it down in the process. The boy expected the move to eventually fail since it's only use was to distract the god so that his hidden attack can commence, which it 'worked exactly as planned.' The small ball--which veiled itself while following the fallen icicle stalagcite successfully made it was to the closest area to where Xodous was standing and immediately blew up, causing him great damage that'll surely weaken his defenses gradually. "Mmhm, looks like my tactic worked like a charm." Cirque chuckled to himself, watching the explosion taking out the manually manifested flooring by with it's strengthend power and blast radius.

"But, for a god, I expected him to have more abilities than just the ones he have now. This tournament probably told him that some of his powers shouldn't be allowed." He continued, awaiting for the god to recover himself from the attack. That platform to what Xodous created was probably something that he had to use in order to make approaching the god a lot more difficult. Honestly; Revolento would not want to deal with something like that. The boy admires challenges from his opponents, but this was one of this occasions to where he had to be careful. Allowing his opponent to construct something to their liking, no matter if its transformations or whatnot, he will not let that happen. Not by a long shot.

The boy didn't want to activate his force so soon since he wasn't in any certain danger at the moment; knowing that god, he'll probably try to flank the Armamentalist with some sort of technique that'll probably hinder him. So he silently activated his Frost Fource, placing a magical coating that strength his natural defenses like a barrier of some sort. Now; it was going to be much more difficult to penetrate this male's defenses at this time.

Cirque would glance at the icicle that was beginning to fall from the broken platform, of course that icicle was placed there for a reason. His stalagcite attacks aren't always what Cirque's Ice attacks can do. This certain technique was taught by him once the boy had to go through his training as a spell caster. If the stalagcite would have impaled him, then the boy would have allow the ice to explode within his vital organs to which it'll freeze and break them to the point where Xodous will not function without them. Sadly, that prediction didn't come to pass. So; the boy had to do things manually, which didn't mean much to him. When the god came into clearing, the boy's eye started to gleam as the stalagcite exploded into a shower of small and dangerously sharp icicles that pricks through whatever it can latch on to. The shard extended over probably 7 feet or more, depending on how large the stalagcite was. If the god acknowledges this tries his best to avoid this, then he'll have a second to move in a safe distance so that the icicle shards fall into the exact locations to where they'll drop to.

However, if Xodous doesn't dodge and probably have a mindset of countering the icicles. There is no doubt about that he won't be able to defend himself from all of the shards. If one or more latches onto him, then the ice will start to take effect by freezing up the main materials inside his body in a matter of seconds: Nervous systems, Red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells, the strange liquid that was residing in his bloodstream, and possibly the rest of his entire body if not taken care of. This was one of the many abilities of Cirque's magic, and that's only one of his playing card in his deck of dangerous tricks and wizard spells.

This male wasn't even satisfied of this match at all, was this god actually giving himself in or was it something that he's planning to do later on in time. Whatever the case may be; the boy was getting impatient. Seems that he was looking for his true potential, even if it means weakening the god to the point where he'll be mortally damage and die. Though; he shouldn't allow this god to kill him any time soon. He has yet to accomplish some of his life goals... One of them was to face an 'Uchiha' who gave him such an exciting time back when Revolento was still young to the point where his matches were limited back then. He just hopes that the said Uchiha is somewhere nearby, watching him. One of these days, the boy will face that ninja once more; it'll be a battle to the death once their paths cross again. "Suseme Uchiha; I'm going to make sure to defeat and kill you. Even if this god gets in my way to finding you...~!"

(Ladies and gentlemen; I am here to inform those who were watching this battle should know that Xodous has unfortunately forfeit this match. His reasons of doing so is unknown even to me. All I can say is that I will now be going up against Shale in the final round, sorry for your disappointment.)

"And to that, I win this battle. It was a shame that we didn't continue, but I guess it was never meant to be." With that said, he sheathed his blade and take his leave; only to await for the final round to begin.
