In a remote location far to the North, there was an icy forest with a tall mountain in the center. The overall area was beset by endless snowfall. Snow gathered on the leafless tree branches in a beautiful fashion befitting an elegant painting and the snow on the ground gathered as high as three feet. The ambient temperature dipped to as low as 13 degrees below zero.

The mountain was worse, with its rocky terrain and steep cliffs. And much of the rock surface was covered in ice, making it slippery. This desolate place seemed completely devoid of life, yet at the top of the mountain was a temple crafted from stone and ice, suggesting that people once dwelled here.

Within the forest walked a solitary figure. One spot of black among the endless white. Upon closer inspection, one could see that the figure was female. A girl appearing to be around 16 years old. This girl was known as Black Rock Shooter. Her uneven black twintails were hidden underneath the hood of her black jacket, which was zipped closed to cover up the somewhat skimpy outfit under it which consisted of a black bikini top and tight fitting black shorts with a pair of black belts around her waist, one of them holding her sword, Black Blade. At least her arms and legs were prepared for the cold, with the sleeves of her jacket, long gloves, and tall boots, all black.

Black Rock Shooter had ended up in this place through unfortunate circumstances. After a ride on the Phantom Train, she had intended to stop in the town of Fynn, but due to a fight with some ghosts, she missed her stop. But she was at least able to return the Fairy Tone name Sory to who she belonged with. But now she was trapped here. Other Selves like her were not affected by extreme temperatures as much as normal people, but she still felt the biting cold. Back Rock had to find her way to a warmer place before it was too late.

"Alright... I suppose the best place to start would be that mountain." Black Rock thought to herself. "I'll be able to see very far fom the top, and who knows? Maybe the temple will hold some answers as well."

With that, Black Rock Shooter trudged through the deep snow towards the mountain, as snow fell lightly arond her. But one errant step found her sinking lower than expected. Before she knew what was going on, Black Rock was up to her shoulders in snow. She struggled to get out, but it held her like quicksand. Now she needed help, and there was no one for miles. Is Black Rock Shooter doomed?

PostSubject: Re: Snowstorms... Effin' Snowstorms....   Snowstorms... Effin' Snowstorms.... I_icon_minitimeMon Aug 27, 2012 4:51 pm

further up the angled slope, within the boundaries of the ominous yet welcoming castle in the winter storm, a lone figure wearing clothing obviously not suited to such a harsh environment were seen posted upon a boulder, nearest the northern entrance to the inside of the cobblestone walls. Within his pale hands, right digits gripped loosely at the far reaching lengths of a ten fretted lute, with the fingers of the left hand scaling among string after string until hitting a dead end, then repeating so over and over with the right hand transitioning from one different fret to another. He seemed to be doing well for a time, nothing catching his vision behind closed, yet oddly focused eyelids.

His whole attire only consisted of foreign lower body apparel which were a pale white in color. A sort of thin jacket tan in color with white flames dancing at the furthest edges of his sleeves wrapped like moss around his shoulders, the sleeves themselves being wide to expose half of his bandaged arms. Another bandage such as these accompanied by his waist, wrapping around a thin muscular frame whilst above would be a belt that circled around the young man from the right shoulder to the left hip. The same cloth that held tightened about his wrists appearing as bandages found another pair around his legs, underneath the foot, and behind the heels.

Lyrics in another language unknown to those around to witness it fell from his lips in synchronization to the harmony exploited by the flicking of string after string, fret after fret. One verse passed another until a chorus would reach its climax, before again falling into the depths of the beginning of a second verse. So continued the song of the lone man, until one final chorus mixed with obviously differently mannered lyrics falling from his voice seemed to ease the relentless cold, and warm the endless white that covered the Earth. He performed one final strum before stopping, got to his feet and let out a sigh of exhaustion. This did not last long however, soon his eyes darted open to reveal a twin pair of hues yellow in color, and clearly shocked at some oddity. His mouth opened up to say something, but beads of sweat pouring down made it appear this was a very difficult task. The lute lay next to the ground where he once posted, nothing in his hands, and him standing there as still as a statue.

Finally, words escaped from his once marvelous voice, more rough than before.

"My god, IT'S COLD!!"

Cold, freezing hands tugged tightly at the top part of the sleeves of his tan jacket, looking behind him he found himself staring at a large cobblestone wall. Wondering when this had gotten here, he approached such and placed his now free right hand against the toughened stone, only made that much stronger by the cold weather. The young man's close-eyed gaze transitioned to the right, and sure enough there was an entrance. He then, without hesitation, trotted inside with the intention of warming himself up. It was bound for succession before he had heard the slight sounds of someone left behind. His ears perked up and listened to faint senses of one noise after another, perhaps the struggle of a humanoid in this weather? The young man gritted his teeth and looked back, already warming up from the safety of this haven. Cursing to himself, he then ran back outside in hopes of finding whomever was making this noise.

By now, a small blizzard was forming. Not quite large enough to cause an effect in the environmental temperatures, but large enough to obscure the vision of those that tried to pass straight through it. His hand guarded his face as it tried to keep the cold from reaching his face, a smart idea to perform in this time of insecurity. He yelled out vocally to the distance so that the other would hear him, and perhaps yell back in order for him to find his direction. Otherwise, there would be no hope. In fact, it was only a matter of time before the blizzards volume picked up to muffle out his voice. He would have to hurry in order to find the victim of nature.

Still struggling in the snowbank, Black Rock Shooter could hear a voice call out to her. It was a bit surprising to hear another living thing in this kind of place, but it gave hope for survival. Black Rock raised her right hand as far above the snow as she could manage. Once she did, the frigid air around it began to crackle with blue hued electricity. At the same time, pieces of black steel materialized around the arm. Drawn together by the electricity, the pieces of steel bonded and assmbled a large gun. This gun was Black Rock Shooter's other weapon of choice, Rock Cannon.

Black Rock Shooter lowereed Rock Cannon into the deep snow and loosed a stream of continuous shots. The velocity of the shots cut through the snow while the heat generated by the bullets and gun melted through what surrounded the Other Self. Once a path was cleared, Black Rock stopped shooting and followed it to where the voice was coming from. As she walked, the wind picked up and more snow began to fall, a sure sign that a blizzard was approaching. Black Rock Shooter eventually came to a hill. With no other route, she trudged up the incline using Rock Cannon as a substitute walking stick.

Black Rock shielded her eyes from the blowing snow with her left arm while she proceeded toward the voice. Looking ahead through squints, the Other Self saw a young man standing in front of a castle. Blue eyes locked on him as the girl began to jog towards him. She came to a stop beside the boy and motioned for him to follow her inside. She then entered the building and leaned against the left wall, taking deep breaths to regain her composure.

"You called me out here and this all you can do?"

Ash was holding up a woman by her throat and he smiled as he gave her several more punches to the stomach. The woman was one of the few remaining members of his ancestor's group known as Those from the Past called Shroom. The young man waved his hand in front of her.

"Au revoir.♪"

He puts his hand on her shoulder and she is suddenly enveloped in green flames and her ashes fall down into a pile and Ash kicks the pile of ashes and sighs.

"That was a waste of time."

Ash wasn't wearing his usual outfit, he was wearing a red hoodie with the word Blaze written across the chest in black letters. He had his hair down which made him look more like Saiki, but he didn't care. He put his hood up and suddenly heard gunshots. He turned where the gunshots where and he squinted since the icy wind was picking up even more. He did see a black figure in the distance, but couldn't tell if it was person or an animal. The trickster saw the figure moving away and figured it was a hunter, but who would be crazy enough to go hunting in these kind of weather conditions? Ash wanted to see what the figure was and he put his arms out as green flames surround his body and he started to dash towards Black Rock. He usually used this move in fights, but he knew it was also good to use for fast travel and now he clearly saw that the figure was a person. The trickster saw a castle up ahead and wondered how the hell he didn't see it when he came to this place earlier. He saw another person near the castle and saw Black Rock enter the castle and he stops at the doorway.

"Damn..."

The green flames surrounding his body vanish and he walks inside. He could now see that the person he was following was a girl and he grins.

"You're quite the fast one, mademoiselle. I am assuming you were the one who shot off all those gunshots?"

A lone figure stood on the mountain, looking down on the forest. this place was the epitome of desolation, just like the ruined world this being originated from. The figure was male, with a slender figure that belied unnatral strength. The mop of brown hair upon his head swayed in the freezing wind as green eyes surveyed the sprawl of winter before him. His attire was a full body suit, white in color with blue stripes, a prominent collar, two objects sticking from his hips that served as boosters and a large red letter "C" emblazoned on his torso. The "C" stood for the man's name: Casshern.

As Casshern watched the emptiness of the forest, the sound of gunshots grabbed his attention. He looked toward the woman in black as she shot her way through the snow. Eventually he saw her and two others near a castle.

"People? Here? They must be here to see the temple. It makes sense that they'd use that castle for shelter." The cyborg said to himself.

Casshern had become curious about these individuals and their goals. He jumped off of the cliff he was standing on and landed in a tall fir tree next to the castle. He then leaped to the bottom of it to watch the people from close by, leaning against the tree.

PostSubject: Re: Snowstorms... Effin' Snowstorms....   Snowstorms... Effin' Snowstorms.... I_icon_minitimeWed Sep 19, 2012 5:02 pm

The swift blinding wind miles thick and several hundreds of feet high left the cold snow beneath their feet even colder than before. White sheets fell upon more sheets, piling soon into mountains of the uncountable number of particles that fell from an unnoticeable atmosphere only noticed by those that which were higher than the Earth itself. Sadly there were no individual in sight, as laws of Gravity which held them down to this enormous planet Gaia kept the tiny in comparison people in the mindset that this was the end. The looming fortress which were held before them a welcoming sight despite the history of blood and tears drew them in, one after another. However among this sea of gripping weather there were a single person within the dangers of this environment.

"....."

Without a word, he stood with closed eyes in the middle of this terrible blizzard. Were one to look in his direction they would onlynotice the endless white obscuring his dark form, if possible seeing a black visage probably mistaking it for a rock or other natural Earthly formation. Hands behind his back and his posture straight, he kept his eyes closed in deep concentration, seeming more lost in his thoughts than trying to cease the cold from performing its deathly miracles against his skin. Despite this weather, he was not pale, only tanned skin coating the bone and muscle underneath. It was possible this was not the first time he's been in severe weather such as this. Perhaps he had been in worse, but even if one with powers to invade his thoughts would only find themselves driven mad with the unsaturated hunger for revenge against impossible entities, and yet oddly realized. But it was still there, despite the thirst having been quenched.

Eyes opened to behold this haze before him, not even he could use sight to find his way through this angered Nature. He could sense others to be nearby, and could pick up which direction where they could be found. Yet there was one different than the rest, and not in terms of having supernatural strength or powers, nothing of the such. This one was different on the inside. The almost systematic movements left the man the notion that this being was not Human.

".......?"

The silence of the man broken by the faintest of curious noises vainly asking a question without words against screaming winds. The ponytail of this man gave a motion as his movement animated itself without warning, hands still behind his back as lightning quick movement erupted the surroundings as if a very fast beast had entered the environment. This man scaled the cold weather with ease without the tiniest fraction of a movement in his eyes to assist in curtaining the harsh winter relentlessly slamming against his golden skin. The black form shifted to a dark green robed man as he approached his target: Casshern.

Were the robot would notice the oncoming dangerous individual approaching from his flank, he would see a Chinese individual wearing a long black robe with green sleeves, markings of golden Dragons masking his chest and back. Lower body apparel usually accompanying the appearance of a Martial Artist fell down to dark green shoes being the top layer to guard his feet, the other layer being Tabi. He had a scar on the left side of his slowly paling face. Were his meditation saving him from this weather, or was he finally succumbing to its victimizing chill?

Without warning he extended his left elbow towards the Android, and were the other to be unprepared would find pain stricken through his slim form as the Chinese man shot this elbow with vicious force into the man's left flank, his right leg pivoted outward in mid-stride and the left held in a bent angle with the heels of both legs suspended from the snow, all doing so while watching this man leaping from one position to another. Regardless of his attack's percentage of being successful, the following words spoken with a sincereness only following a large sense of hostility flowed into the Androids ears:

"If you know anything regarding the Phoenix mirror, you will tell me. Or, an elbow in your side will be the least of your concerns."

Chill winds blew against the face of a young male who had silver-white hair. He was not use to the brisk, chilly winds of the mountains. He once been to various snow ridden places. Like the time where he ran into a clan of Barbaric people and was invited to a grand feast with them. The male however was smart enough again to bundle himself up by keeping his long coat zipped up. He also donned a pair of goggles to protect his eyes from the blowing, chilly winds. He still kept his trusted weapons near him. Rebellion and Ebony and Ivory. Who knows... There could be some random monsters hiding in the snow.

"Damn! I hate this weather!" His voice called out. He put his hand to his face, protecting it from the cold. The winds seem to be fairly strong, blowing the snow. He stopped at an open area, looking around. Maybe there could be some people here to help him out? Was he lost again?

"Don't tell me.." Dante said to himself. "Am I lost again?" He looked around the area as he started to walk towards the group of people. "Maybe they can help me out.."

PostSubject: Re: Snowstorms... Effin' Snowstorms....   Snowstorms... Effin' Snowstorms.... I_icon_minitimeMon Sep 24, 2012 7:34 pm

Not too far from the castle, three people and one animal made their way through the snow. The first of them was a tall man with shaggy silver hair and dark reddish brown eyes that were dull enough for one to compare them to the eyes of a dead fish. He wore a white winter kimono under a green coat decorated with zigzags and cherry blossoms. On his lower body, there were black pants and black boots with red trim. Around his neck was a blue scarf. He also had a black belt around his waist that held a bokken (Wooden sword). The second one was a shorter man with short black hair and brown eyes. He wore a gray kimono with blue trim, blue hakama, a pair of snowshoes under blue snow boots, a yellow scarf around his neck, and a pair of yellow mittens on his hands. He also wore green earmuffs and his signature glasses over his eyes. The third was a young girl with vermillion red hair tied into buns on either side of her head held with black and gold ornaments and ocean blue eyes. She wore a red chinese coat with white faux fur trim around the sleeves and hem, a pink scarf around her neck, a pair of pink mittens on her hands and a hat that matched her coat. she also wore red pants and black snow boots. Lastly, there was Kagura's pet dog, Sadaharu. He was a very large white dog with a red collar and dark grey eyes.

The members of Odd Jobs Gin were out to do a job, except for one complication... They were lost. How they became lost enough to end up in this frozen wasteland is anyone's guess.

"Agh, I can't take this anymore!" Exclaimed the shorter man, named Shinpachi. "I can't handle this weather! IT'S TOO COLD!!"

"Speak for yourself, Shinpachi!" Said the girl, named Kagura. "There's nothing to eat here! By the way Gin, why are we here?"

"Hm? Oh yeah, we're here to find a cat." Said the silver haired man, named Gintoki, or Gin for short. "I hope it's not stuck in a tree, those are really annoying. Remember what happened last time?"

Shinpachi shuddered.

"Don't remind me! After that, I'm lucky I still have eyeballs!" He exclaimed.

"You're lucky he didn't go for your groin!" Kagura said.

"Kagura!" Shinpachi scolded. "This would be a lot easier if we still had our map. But SOMEBODY lost it, and SOMEBODY ELSE used the spare one as toilet paper!" He added angrily.

Kagura and Gin looked separate ways with embarassed expressions on their faces.

"It's not my fault. The wind got too strong." Kagura muttered.

"It's not my fault that Nature called and no one brought any rolls." Gin muttered.

Meanwhile, Sadaharu was looking around, eventually spotting the castle. Upon seeing it, he started barking. Shinpachi heard it and saw the castle himself.

"You guys! Look!" He yelled. "A castle!"'

"Huh? A castle all the way out here?" Gin asked.

"Who cares if it's 'all the way out here'?! Do you what's in castles?" Snapped Shinpachi.

"Jump manga?" Gin guessed.

"Food?" Guessed Kagura.

"Arf!" Barked Sadaharu.

"No! People! People who might be able to help us out, maybe let us stay there for the night?" Shinapchi said, waving his arms.

"I don't know, Shinpachi. Castles like that often have ghosts. Even though I don't believe in them." Said Gintoki, muttering the last part.

"Yeah! Maybe it belongs to Vampires!" Kagura said.

"You both need to stop playing Castlevania..." Shinpachi deadpanned. "Let's just go already! We need shelter!"

"Fine..." Gin groaned.

With that, the group trudged through the deep snow toward the castle. Once they got there, they saw the two large doors that were the entrance.

"Wow, these doors look really big and heavy..." Shinpachi said, awestruck. "How are we going to get in?"

"By opening the door, of course." Gin answered.

"Are you kidding me?! We can't open these! They must weigh a ton!" Shinpachi yelled.

"Watch and learn, Shinpachi." Gin said simply. "Kagura, open these doors."

"OK!" Kagura affirmed.

"Gin, are you crazy?! Shell knock the whole castle down!!!" Shinpachi yelled frantically.

But he was too late to stop Kagura. The powerful alien girl stood in front of the doors and drew her hand back... to gently push the doors open.

"We can go in now!" She piped, skipping inside.

Shinpachi just stood there, mouth wide open in shock.

"Good work, Kagura. Come on, Shinpachi." Gintoki said, walking in.

"Uh... O-ok...." Shinpachi stammered, walking in himself. Sadaharu followed them in as well.

Once inside, the trio were surprised to find the castle nearly empty, except for three people. One of whom Gin recognized.

"Hey, it's Rocky!" He said, slightly surprised.

"Rocky?" Shinpachi asked before looking at said girl. "Oh, it's Black Rock Shooter! From Arkham Asylum!"

Gintoki than noticed the other person with her.

"Who's the other chick?" He asked, mistaking the blonde man for an actual female.

"Hey! That guy has hair like Gin's!" Kagura shouted, pointing at Dante.

Sadaharu sniffed the air and detected the scent of pizza. Attracted to it, the dog ran at the man, jumped on him and started licking him.

After a few moments, Black Rock Shooter let her breathing return to normal. Once she did, she turned to the person who had just spoken to her. She looked down at Rock Cannon and answered the androgynous man's question via telepathy.

"Yeah, that was me. I had to use this gun to get out of a pile of snow."

Black Rock was about to say more when she sensed more people approaching. Turning to the door, the Other Self spotted a familiar Hanyou in red she met on the Phantom Train as well as two other males she met in a certain asylum.

"Dante... Gintoki and Shinpachi too. Why are they here?" She thought.

Ash smirked as he put his hood down and heard her answer. He turned his head slightly towards the door and saw several more people coming. He was surprised to see anyone wandering around in this weather. His bangs got in his eyes and he wrapped his fingers around them as he started to play with them.

"More people... perhaps they can prove to be entertaining."

The trickster's smirk grew wider as he was already thinking of ways to have what he calls entertainment. He put his other hand out and looks at his nails and he turns his hand around and a small green flame forms in his palm. He lets go of his bangs and moves them aside as he looks around for wood to start a fire since it was freezing inside and having the door open was helping much either. He closes his hand to put out the flame and scoffs.

"I hate to ask for favors, madam, but do you think perhaps you can shoot down a tree so we can start a fire?"

Casshern could sense the presense of another life form approaching, but brushed it off as another wanderer. This assumption would prove false however, as his left side was stricken with an elbow. Letting a small groan of pain escape his lips, the android slowly turned to behold his assailant, and indeed, it was one whom he'd never seen before.

His pained expression faded, the strike not really fazing him, as he's experienced much worse. Casshern listened to what the man said, understanding that he was seeking some kind of mirror.

"Pheonix Mirror? I've never heard of it. Though if it's a treasure, it might be in the Temple of Ice at the top of this mountain." He said, pointing to the top the the mountain he'd been standing on. "Now if you'll excuse me..."

He turned to walk away, this time ready for any follow up attack this mysterious man might mount.

Black Rock Shooter turned to the effeminate male when he asked for a favor. She nodded, agreeing that starting a fire would help keep them warm. She voiced this agreement via telepathy.

"Alright. That's a good idea." As she stood up and went to the door, she turned to the small, but powerful girl with red hair.

"And when I come back, I'll need you to close the door." She told her.

Black Rock then made her way outside and approached a medium sized Fir tree. Aiming Rock Cannon at its roots, she opened fire. It only took one round of twenty shots to bring the tree down. It fell backwards with a loud thud. The Other Self then walked over to the fallen Fir and grabbed it by a branch, her gloves protecting her hands from the needles. Using her enhanced strength, she dragged the tree inside the castle and let it rest in the center of the room. When that was done, she nodded to Kagura to close the door. She then put Rock Cannon down and drew Black Blade, using it to quickly slice the tree into smaller pieces.

"There." She said simply.

Ash looked on in amazement when Black Rock Shooter shot down the tree and dragged it in like it was nothing. He felt someone was watching them and he looked towards where Casshern was, but he thought it was pointless since it was hard to see anything. He stepped back when The Other Self drew her Black Blade and chopped up the tree.

"Hmm, this girl may be the most entertaining one here to have fun with..."

He smirks and he approaches the pieces of the tree and kicks them together into a pile and puts his hand out where a green fireball forms in his hand and he lowers his hand to light up the pieces and he closes his hand to put the fireball and he steps back. The crackling of the fire fills the room and the trickster crouches downs and puts his hands to the fire to warm them up and he looks at Black Rock.

"What is your name, madam? I was quite impressed with your display of strength and swordsmanship."

Lime green eyes opened at hearing some enter. glancing around the dark room and then standing up out of the chair. Moving from the desk as long strands of silver hair feel among broad shoulders. Dark blue robes covered the males frame with a black thin, medium mesh under them. Making his way to the door and listened closely before opening just a crack. The light from outside the room entering in before stepping out.

the visitors could hear the foot steps approaching from one hall. before the figure they could see stop and rest along side the wall. Bowing his head down and putting a hand to his head.
