Battle of the Hybrids (Shale vs Beleganu)

Such a place was not commonly thought of when elves came to mind, but here was where one just happened to be, in a gigantic underground factory. Massive concrete ceiling struts supported the roof. Long moving walkways and conveyor belts connected several pieces of machinery of unimaginable weight. One of the compressors a black pump hour glass shaped structure looked like it might be the core of a space station. The old inhabitant of the place had once been a warlock she called Uncle, but Shale had inherited it upon his death and had turned it into a chemical war facility.

All her weapons were stored within the reaches of the facility, and right now she was filling up aluminum canisters with liquid chlorine. The structure would be nearly hidden except to one who might fly over the meadow and notice a large window on the grass. For within a certain segment of the connives had once been an indoor green house near the edge of a steel cliff that sank into the dark mechanical depths below. About two hundred feet above the trees were those windows set at the same level as the ground level outside. Approximately two blocks each letting in an area of light two hundred by one hundred feet, letting the light shine most of the time onto the roughly football field sized oasis of greenery.

Shale however was much further down below in a much more crowded region behind bolted doors, only a few levels above the mining region. However her ears would hear anything that might stoop into the mountain meadow. If someone did pass by on foot they would likely notice a lone single room cottage which was the facade for the main entrance. However it was also possible from a steeper angle not offered by the ground but from the air that one might simply gaze upon the windows.

[center]Once upon a time I was a human; just kidding. The behemoth of the Spiritual Realm wander aimlessly through both after life and the living world. Only a selective few could see, the spiritual monster. He was a legend of old and of the new. Spotting of this warrior don in crimson reached almost every corner of the world. In previous time, his picture was but a stone with a carving of a giant man. He was blamed for the dust storms, so they believe. Though they were lucky it wasn't true. His dust storm was too mighty for mere mortals and spiritual beings to handle. A storm that devour flesh and bone would end the world upon his choosing. Maybe he was what the Mayans predicted? Maybe he would end the worl in darkness of his dust storm? Time would tell if he was the destroyer of worlds or just a mere warrior.

Eye lids half closed as a rift open and out forth he came. Hovering over the grassy mass just around a few hundred feet. THe warrior was cladded in crimson bandages except for his left arm. The bandages started half way on his nose and down to his waist. A onyx fog like pants concealed his lower body even concealing his feet from view. A crimson sash coiled around his waist. A six foot long katana rested upon his left hip as his crimson optics glance towards the ground. Sensing life and spiritual energy was a great passive ability of his. Staring almost as if he stare through Gaia, he saw a being doning a pink biohazard suit. Odd; that was the word he though before vanishing.

Reappearing travelling through a rift once more, he appeared behind the suited figure. His back against the wall, the behemoth stood at 7'10. He was clearly as almost always the taller fighter. His frame was enhance with much muscle thanks to his many years of survival. His fist grip the golden hilt of his zanpakuto, with one swift movement. The blade was unleashed, a blade with the tint of blood upon its surface. Spriritual energy began to charge throughout his body as he lifted his blade towards the ceiling. His right arm came down harshly and it sent a devastating blow of wind towards the female. The damage was small, it was just a force of wind. Not ment to harm, but to catch attention. Of course anything under the weight of 100lbs went flying several meters. "Excuse me, I am looking for the little Visored's room."

Shale in her pink chubby bio suit was in no way prepared for combat. It was slow awkward and clumsy. She didn't even have any armor on under her adorable pink jump suit. She did have the advantage of being protected against the chlorine in the other room. All she possesed was a necklace and whip inside her belt that she never parted with.

An idea popped in her head. Maybe I should punch the glass? If this person were here for a legitimate reason she'd surely make an enemy of him by doing that. However if he was here to kill her she might as well get the hell out of this room as fast as she can. What the fuck; how did he get here? she wondered. Screw it he has a sword he's not here to do anything but kill you. Probably a bounty hunter or invention created by some dark elves.

There wasn't much to work with in this room. Would she get slaughtered unarmed? It seemed like it.

Fuck it she said within her mind. Although she was curious what he meant by visored... She was wearing a visor. Did that haven anything to do with what she was wearing? Was he retarded? Was he actually asking for help... This was no time to get confused...

In less than a third of a second all these thoughts and questions were processed. Shale punched the class with her rubber glove letting toxic chlorine into the air. She then lifted up a four hundred pound acetylene and oxygen tank and hurled it at the man as she bolted for the heavy steel door.

At least hopefully he wouldn't attack her if that thing was in the way; its not like there was away around the thing in that small room, and she was somewhat confident even in the chubby and adorable pink suit she could react before he made any effort to rip open a new portal.

Inside of her suit she was changing something slowly giving herself a weak dynamic armor that would probably be little use against that sword but would aid her in certain ways. She needed to arm herself and possibly find a way to get to the green house where the environment might stand a chance in aiding her.

A vertical air slash of spiritual energy faded away as it got within four feet of her same with the horizontal, she wasn't going to explain to him why this happened instead she jumped up the stairway and hauled ass to the greenhouse above. That was her territory. It seems he was smart enough to prevent a violent explosion from wasting him. Her weapons were actually hidden in the trees. If need be she'd resort to her elite cash of weapons if she needed such things to kill a foe of this level.

In the time he lingered in the room with shattered glass, his mask would be worn down and attacked by the chlorine. It reacted with nearly everything and if he breathed then his lungs would chemically burn. The metal walls would quickly show signs of reacting as they'd form ugly crystal dust and grime. Her gas mask would protect her from her own chemical warfare along with ditching the room. If she made it to her weapons before he intercepted her attacking would begin with her taking her two hammers into her hands. The metal she used was incredibly strong though his spiritual power could cut through it like butter probably just as easily as steel. The only problem that he would face is as he got within 4 feet of her it would all rapidly drain away before having any lethality. In fact, at four feet or closer even Bele himself would begin to fade away due to a special item she concealed at all times. This meant that at normal range her weapons could withstand his own and their fight would be brought to equal terms.

Shale performed a freak show of acrobatics that might look very odd to anything that had never seen an elf, and even so it was an awkward situation in which this was being performed. She leapt off the stairs onto a side latter and began jogging up the later backwards with her back facing the steps. This freak act of elven agility was displayed only the short time she shot upwards. If a projectile came she'd kick back and forth between the stairs and the latter, having the ability to stop moving and shoot up with enough power to snap a rung or too so her predictability would get her closer to her destination fifty feet above as she made her way up that steel cliff.

A waterfall of vines started growing down from the top of the cliff they were going to meet her and make his attempts of destroying the latter futile. It would take her 4 seconds to travel the fifty feet. She waited for the attack to come her weapons were already on their way. Just a bit further and she could take the offensive.

Arcane words were spoken: "Am nehzul dabbe mak."

In one swift movement Shale jumped sideways into the open air with nothing but sheer cliff below her. Vines from above latched onto her body and as she levitated up hoisted by a vine platform a blue pixie that had come from her call sat upon her shoulder and put its hands to more of the vines shooting over the edge. Plant life force coursed out of Shale's body and into the blue pixie. It had dominion over a magical mushroom and the blue species was no mistake. Parasitic mushrooms bore into the vines and the pixie conducted Shale's overwhelming supply of magic and converted it through the small body.

Strange blue glowing veins coursed with powerful cyan light headed to wrap around Beleganu. If they grabbed him, he would find that the strange blue energy barely stung as it would slightly damage him, but its true property was that he would not be able to fade through them. Masses of vines were shooting around Shale's waist and connected to the ones shooting forward. She was ready to finish off her target now.

Shale was pleased to see the target burst towards her, the vines wrapped around his body as he dove right into them. She had one valuable advantage against overhead attacks. Incredibly thick pauldrons.

A few vines blocked the sword and surprisingly only were cut halfway through. This was no mere accident and in fact had nothing to do with their blue glow. As the residual power forced the sword to push the vines down they slammed onto her pauldron as she swayed her torso to the side letting the sword hit her shoulder.

If Beleganu could figure out the secret trap about the vines and why he couldn't cut them, it was likely wouldn't be enough to save him now. Shale loaded a fully powered knee into the man's stomach as the wrapping vines took his feet and pulled his arms towards his back while more wrapped around his waist and stomach tightening and tightening. Their weave was such that it formed an artistic knot. Shale waited at Bele's side out of range of his direct eyesight as a tree split open sending forth a flaming lance held by more vines.

Rumbles under the earth could be heard as well.

All the while 3 seconds for the lance to arrive Bele's energy would drain into Shale's secret necklace, making his skin soft and sword dull.

All was going according to plan; as always. However Shale wasn't ready for just how well things were going for her. As he released his devouring sword in the form of a mist, two things happened.

One the vines that were wrapped around her waist and had pulled her whip free from the sliver in her belt were destroyed, revealing the deadly dark-elf forged barbed wire that had been the reason his sword could not cut the vines earlier. Little did Shale know just how horrible that barbed wire was. She had threaded it with elven twin to give it strength simply based on how little she knew about it. But in fact, as with all dark elf weapons they were more sinister than first meets the eye.

Bele would not be able to escape, as they were forged to hold even spirits as slaves binding him so that he could not fade through it. It was also a redundant effort on her part to reinforce the whip, it was enchanted to not break. When he threw his massive punch it drew that much more tension to the now exposed barbed edges that would be extra effective at cutting through one like himself who was both spiritual and physical. That artistic knot she wove tightened beyond escape.

This wasn't the only thing going her way. Second was by splitting his sword into dust participial her necklace which converted the dark negative magics he was composed of into the holy light magic she was immune to and even somewhat absorbed. Splitting his sword up allowed that protective necklace to utilize more of its volumetric radius upon what was a rather dense sword and completely dominated it from all angles. Gobbling up his sword to bits by converting it into opposing energy within that four feet. In such an low density form it would never pierce the field with much effect especially as it was being converted to light which would violently react to neutralize its opposite partials.

Shale took no chances, not understanding the method in which he was destroying the vines she sank down into the earth with her necklace and the pixie's flames destroying any particularly dense patch of mist as a patch of roots pushed the earth out of the way then shoved it back blocking the hole.

She wasn't the only one to dive underground. The flaming spear used the same tactic to avoid the remaining dust from destroying the vine that moved it. Having to move underground that two seconds that remained before impact didn't lesson but still remained two since even though it was now closer it had to move slower underground. As of now the grass that was devoured would start turning blue giving off that ethereal resistant glow that would hinder perhaps even make it damaging to feed from.

Shale was planning another attack the second she saw the mist.

[center]The mist devoured and converted everything they act into energy into his body. A steady flow of energy entering his body, thus powering his skin with a thick amount of reitsu. The barbed wire held no chance of even scratching his skin. The mist of ten feet then double to twenty feet within a second and continuously devoured the wire and converting the energy. Even the floor and ceiling wasn't safe. "Tozanshō." A small dot of teal light hovered above his head before devouring his frame and spreading out. This forced the wires to stretched out from his frame before a barrier of a inverted pyramid surrounded his frame. Lifting his arms through the force made space thanks to the barrier. It wasn't of evil "magic." Shinigami spells were you could say "Holy." Compare to the opposite of Hollow spells. His body being at the smallest point, his body would float up out of the vines towards the top of the pyramid. This gave him ten feet room being just a few inches from the ceiling. Half his dust remained on the outside of his barrier and devoured the matter around. Large holes formed in the ground and in the ceilings. walls began to crumble as the energy was transfer into useable energy for Beleganu. The ten feet of dust in the barrier formed an cube around his frame. Granting him only two feet of room. This was a two way defense, a barrier outside which could withstand most minor assaults and a barrier of his zanpakuto. Zanpakuto being strong as the user, made it an even more durable shield. Hovering in the Indian style position, Beleganu began to gather energy.

Apparently the blue grass fizzled as it was absorbed, showing signs that the magic used to absorb the grass was indeed ghost type. At least Shale could salvage this knowledge for now and hopefully make a plan to later counter it. There were plenty of things as this was her home she had access to nearly all she needed. What blue plant life was absorbed would be destroyed but take more energy than it gave making it a type of matter highly resistant to all that was ethereal. Even the soil seemed to give way and Shale was forced to retreat. How did she do this?

Earlier there was another attack she was planning, two blue vine pods emerged from the ground. Inside were gas canisters one contained hydrazine, the other dinitrogen tetroxide. With a flint ring inside the vines crushed the cans causing the spring coiled ring to move and strike the flint. A fiery explosion of 12 feet of flame erupted below Beleganu. Though the fire was nothing compared to the physical force of the blast. Shale even at her distance partially underground had her eardrums pop and shatter. Blood dripped down her ears as she hastily back stepped an allowed a flaming lance to shoot up through the shower of dirt, this ethereal flame was something Shale knew all too well. It had a tendency to burn through magical items, no skin or barrier would last very long, slowly but surely the lance would push through destroying anything stubborn enough to not move out of its deadly way. Where the oil landed on the ground it would melt the dirt into glass. Some of the vines were burned as the oil dripped down onto them but the remaining portions grew back faster than they could be singed away.

The anchors that held the chain wire tight to the ground were almost uprooted, she she quickly sent roots to tug them deeper into the soil keeping the tension on them tight so that the second he took focus off his barrier that the knot work of wire would squeeze back shut. Roots also pushed more soil burring themselves for protection. Shale's green shirt also turned the very same blue, as it was cotton and fungus could grow on it as well.
